SPECIAL RULES

1. To sell items in the Country Store, sellers must enter at least one

item in the Creative Homemaking Department of the Fair. All items must be hand crafted. Items may be original creations or crafted from kits. (Clubs/organizations with a tax ID number may sell items through the Country

Store.) Business cards cannot be attached to or stamped on sales tags. Business cards may not be distributed in the Country Store.

2. Items listed in the Creative Homemaking Department catalog may be

sold in the Country Store with the exception of plants. Preserved items

must meet the specifications of the Food Preservation Division. Sale

items not meeting the division standards will not be accepted by the

Country Store chairperson. Country Store chairperson decision is final.

3. Sale items must have a sale tag (provided by the Fair) attached with

the following information:

A. Seller's number and name

B. Sale price

C. Name of item

4. Tags and sale sheets are available from the County Extension Office.

5. Sale items must be entered on the sale sheet in numeric order for

use by Country Store Chairman The numbers of the sale item and the

sales sheet must correspond.

6. A uniform pricing procedure will be strictly enforced. Items are to

be priced in increments of 50 cents. Items not in compliance with this rule will be rejected.

7. Check-in procedures are as follows:

A. Items MUST be tagged and priced BEFORE presented at check-

in table.

B. Items must be boxed. A list of sale items in the box must be

visible on the outside of the box.

C. Items will be put on display by Country Store chairperson(s) - not

sellers.

8. Twenty percent (20%) of the sale price of all items

(including

Champion entries) sold in the Country Store will go to the Colorado County Fair Association. The remaining eighty-percent (80%) will go to the seller.

9. Payment will be made only on those items which stubs have been

collected.

10. The money derived from the sold items will be paid to the sellers by

check from the Fair Association within 45 days of the close of the 2008 Fair. Any checks not cashed within 30 days after issuance will be void.

11. Items not sold MUST be picked up on Sunday, September 14, 2008

from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. NO early release of items. Items not picked up

will be disposed of.

12. Check-out Procedure: Items MUST be checked out through the required

procedures or payment may be delayed. If sellers cannot pick up the

unsold items at the designated time, SELLERS must designate someone

to pick up the items. The Country Store chairman must be notified in

writing the name of the designee who has been designated by the

seller to pick up said items. The Fair will

not be responsible of items not picked up.

 

NOTE: Baked confections may be entered each day prior to the opening of the Country Store. No refrigerated items will be accepted. (This includes meats and cheese based products.) All precautions will be taken but the Colorado County Fair Association will not be responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged.
